Specialist HES Operations

We are looking for an experienced and motivated individuals to fill the position of HES Operations Specialist within our Permian EOR HES Field Operations North Plants group in Sundown, TX.
Essential Job Duties:
This position is the focal point for integrating HES practices and policies into daily operations of a cross-functional team which includes operations and support functions. Responsible for communicating and applying federal, state, local, and company HES policies and requirements within oil and gas operations.
Responsibilities include:
developing and implementing new and existing programs designed to promote improved HES performance,
annual maintenance of risk management plans, emergency response planning,
audits and assessments,
internal and external reporting,
development of written reports,
conducting investigations and root cause analysis,
site remediation,
focal point for regulatory and other government agencies,
training, development of presentations,
conducting team safety meetings.
High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
3 years experience in health, environmental, and safety (HES) in the oil and gas industry.
Demonstrated, proactive and responsible attitude for personal safety and the safety of co-workers, contractors and the public.
Working knowledge of health, environmental, and safety regulatory requirements at the federal, states of Texas and New Mexico, and local levels.
Experience in developing, delivering and managing company safety, health and environmental programs.
Effective interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to influence behaviors to create a safer working environment.
Clear and effective communication skills (written and verbal).
Proven ability to work with employees, contractors, land owners, city officials, and regulatory personnel to continually reduce safety and environmental incidents.
Effective time management and organizational skills, ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Team oriented, flexible, self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
Willing to be accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to respond to HES operational needs.
Good computer skills ? Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Candidates must also have a valid driver's license and an excellent driving record.
Additional Desired Qualifications
4 year degree in related field or HES certifications strongly preferred.
Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
